Brooke Coburn, Managing Director The Carlyle Group

Brooke is a managing director and head of Carlyle Growth Partners, the US growth capital arm of The Carlyle Group. He leads their small-cap growth buyout practice focusing on investments in the telecommunications, media, technology and business services sectors. Since joining Carlyle in 1996, Brooke has been actively involved with the firm's investments in Bredbandsbolaget (acquired by Telenor), CityNet Telecom (merged with Universal Access), Core Location (acquired by El Paso Global Networks), Genesis Cable (acquired by Benchmark Communications), Matrics Technologies (acquired by Symbol Technologies), Neptune Communications (acquired by Global Crossing) and Prime Communications (acquired by Comcast). Prior to joining Carlyle, Brooke was with Salomon Brothers, Inc. where he focused on M&A and capital raising assignments in the Media & Communications Group. Brooke received his BA from Princeton University with honors.
