Industry Ventures’ Direct and Hybrid Fund of Funds Team makes direct investments in venture-backed companies and commitments to leading early-stage venture capital funds. The team makes $1-15M investments in high-growth companies with $5-20M in revenue, primarily in these sectors: AI, software, fintech, digital health, and emerging technologies.

Position Description

Industry Ventures is seeking an intellectually curious Associate to join our growing Direct and Hybrid Fund of Funds team. The Associate will assist in sourcing, analyzing, and executing investments throughout the entire deal process. Associates take on substantial responsibility and are a crucial component to the deal teams and investment decisions.

Top-performing Associates will be considered for promotion to Senior Associate and beyond. The firm has an on-going mentorship program to assist investment professionals in strategizing their career goals. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a base salary with annual performance-based cash bonus.

Responsibilities

– Drive due diligence processes for direct investments and fund commitments

– Create financial analyses, waterfall models, and internal memos to assess potential investments

– Understand market trends and develop industry perspectives through research and market sector reports

– Assist in proactively sourcing new investment opportunities

– Analyze, monitor, and manage current portfolio holdings

– Attend conferences and industry events to build personal networks and enhance firm relationships

– Assist in various operational activities

– Passion for understanding venture capital and technology from an investment, legal, and operational perspective

– 2-3+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, or private equity

– BA/BS from a leading undergraduate institution with an outstanding academic record
