Industry Ventures Recognizes Brian Langner and Fanni Fan with Promotions to Managing Director
Industry Ventures, a leading investment firm focused on venture capital and private technology, is pleased to announce the promotions of Brian Langner and Fanni Fan to Managing Directors within our early-stage investment team. These promotions reflect their exceptional contributions and commitment to our firm’s continued growth and success.
Brian Langner joined Industry Ventures in 2013 from Standish Management, initially focusing on firm operations and fund accounting. He quickly distinguished himself and became the first Analyst for the Partnership Holdings team. Brian has progressed through various roles over the years, including Associate, Senior Associate, VP, and Principal. “Brian’s comprehensive experience with our early-stage team has equipped him with a deep understanding of our investment processes and embodies our unique brand of collaborative capital,” stated Roland Reynolds, Senior Managing Director of Industry Ventures’ early-stage fund strategies. “His extensive network with General Partners and entrepreneurs, along with his exceptional pattern recognition and investment judgment, makes him a strategic asset to our firm and a strong mentor to our younger investment team members.” Brian serves as a board director or observer at Crexi, Mendel, and Vizit and recent investments include Clearstory and Collaborative Robotics among others.
Fanni Fan joined Industry Ventures in 2017 as an Associate, coming from Rosemark Capital where she focused on venture investments in digital health companies. She was drawn to Industry’s culture and unique platform approach to collaborating with entrepreneurs and VCs. Fanni has since been promoted through the ranks to Senior Associate, VP, and Principal. Over the last seven years she has worked closely with founders and VCs across various sectors, including Enterprise Software, Digital Health, and FinTech. She led the firm’s investments in Hinge Health, Honeycomb, and Scratch Financial among others and currently serves on the boards of Coalesce, Curebase, and Meru Health.
“Fanni has significantly broadened our network of venture fund managers and entrepreneurs through her unique relationships which have been instrumental in sourcing and due diligence,” Roland added. “Her contributions, dedication, intellect and integrity have greatly contributed to the growth and success of our early-stage funds.”
Hans Swildens, CEO and Founder of Industry Ventures, commented, “We are proud of the exceptional talent we have developed within our team. These promotions are a testament to the significant impact these individuals have had on our success. We extend our congratulations to each of them for their well-earned achievements.”
